The API is accessed via HTTP using a RESTful approach. Supported input content types include form url encoded data (application/x-www-form-urlencoded) and the JSON (application/json).
Zerista requires that all character data is encoded in UTF-8. Likewise, all response data will have a charset of UTF-8, unless the Content-Type header specifically states otherwise.
If a field accepts HTML, it must be “strictly valid” HTML 4.01 (see http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/). We also highly recommend that your HTML passes XML validation since we validate all HTML input via an XML parser. For example, our validator will consider unclosed elements like
as invalid, and the request will be rejected.
